If you want to travel to the outskirts of the city, you should take the buses denominated “Interparroquial”, which can be easily identified by their green colour. Bus fees vary depending on the distance of the trip. There are a few buses called “Populares”, which means “For the people”, they charge about $0.18, but paying a little extra makes a big difference here.
If you want to take a “Interparroquial” bus to Cumbayá, Pifo, Puembo or El Quinche, head straight to the Río Coca Avenue and Eloy Alfaro Avenue. There you will find the bus terminal that heads to those destinations, all the buses are light green. If you are interested in heading to the valley of Los Chillos (Sangolquí, El Tingo, La Merced, San Rafael) you can take these buses at the Isabel La Católica street and M. Camaamaño (next to the Politécnica Salesiana University) or at the Trébol roundabout.
Every urban bus operates between 05:30 and 22:00. | |
