 Overview
Mindo is only one and a half hours west of Quito. This is one of the ecologically most important sites that Ecuador has. The small but warm village is teeming with ecological activities, luxury hosterias and backpacker hostels. Hikers, adventure-seekers and birders will all enjoy this beautiful location resting within the hills. Mindo is home to over 500 bird species, about 200 butterflies species, orchids and waterfalls that you can all walk to and admire. There is also the Bosque Protector Mindo-Nambillo, a premontane cloud forest. | |
