Encounter the beauty of the Ecuadorian coast The Machalilla National Park is amongst the most diverse in our country. It holds a rain forest, a dry forest, an archeological reserve and some beautiful islands. This, so called, "little Galapagos" is one destination you can't miss.
The Machalilla National park is amongst the most important in the country. Places like Ayampe, Los Frailes, Puerto Lopez and La Plata Island give us a unique opportunity to discover the amazing flora and fauna of the Ecuadorian coast. Our tours are available on 1 and 2 days (from Guayaquil or Manta) and 3 or 4 days from Quito.
Enjoy incredible days of beach, nature and relaxation! On our first day, we fly towards Manta, where we will board our transport to Puerto Lopez. On the way, we will visit Montecristi, a city famous for their Panama Hats. We will make a quick stop in La Pila to observe their beautiful traditional ceramics. In the afternoon we depart to the humid forest of Ayampe accompanied by a naturist guide.
On the next day, we will navigate towards la Isla de la Plata and on the way (June to September) we will watch the amazing humpback whales that come to our coasts every year. Once in the Island, we will hike through what was called “little Galapagos” since its fauna is really similar to the one on the Archipelago.
On our last days, we will visit the incredible beach of Los Frailes, considered the most beautiful beach in continental Ecuador. This beach is located within the Machalilla National Park so there are no buildings, noise or distractions. Just you, nature and a beautiful beach. On the afternoon we will visit the Aguablanca community, a small archeological site and the famous natural sulfur pool for a "beauty bath" that you will never forget!
Other visits include a morning in the island of Salango or horseback riding in the San Sebastian forest.

Day 2 07:30 am American Breakfast. 08:30 am Departure to Isla de la Plata (All year), humpback whale observation (from June to September) 11:00 am Arrival to Isla de la Plata. Hike and exploration of the Island accompanied by a naturist guide. Picnic style lunch. Snorkeling. 17:30 pm Arrival to Pto. Lopez 19:30 pm Menu Dinner.
Day 3 08:00 am American Breakfast. 09:00 am Los Frailes visit, accompanied by a naturist guide. 12:30 am Menu Lunch. 14:30 am Departure to Manta. Private transfer (4-9 PAX). 17:45 am Flight back to Quito.
